About First United Methodist Church of Alabaster
First United Methodist Church of Alabaster serves the Alabaster community with blended United Methodist worship, children’s ministry, and small groups. Sunday worship includes a Modern Worship service at 8:30 AM and a Traditional Worship service at 11:00 AM. Sunday school groups for all ages meet between services, usually around 9:45 AM, and nursery and child care are provided for all events. The church worships in a recently renovated sanctuary and traces Methodist witness in Alabaster back more than one hundred years. Its history also includes rebuilding after a 1996 fire destroyed the old sanctuary and education building, with a new Fellowship Hall and Education Building consecrated in 1998.
