About Trinity Episcopal Church
Trinity Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal parish in Florence, Alabama, with roots as a worshipping community dating to 1824. Established in 1836, it is the oldest parish in the Tennessee Valley, and its church building has stood at the corner of Pine and Tuscaloosa Streets since 1894. Worship follows the Episcopal liturgical tradition, with Sunday Holy Eucharist offered in Rite I and Rite II forms and a Thursday midday Eucharist. The parish also offers Sunday School, children’s ministry, and small groups. The Rev. Dr. Edward G. Mullen served as Rector from 1943 through the early 1970s.

Dress Code: Not specified — please contact the church directly. Service Format: Services are liturgical and centered on Holy Eucharist, with Rite I at 8:00 AM and Rite II at 10:30 AM on Sundays. A Thursday Holy Eucharist is also offered at 12:30 PM. Visitor Tips: Sunday School meets at 9:30 AM. Children’s Chapel is available for ages 5 through 3rd grade during the 10:30 AM service.
