About Antioch Baptist Church
Antioch Baptist Church is a traditional Baptist congregation in Gadsden with roots reaching back to 1890, when it was organized in a log cabin at Knowlin Station. Rev. R. W. Pope served as the first pastor, and Rev. Larry G. Weathers has served as pastor since May 1992. The church’s life includes Sunday worship, Tuesday Bible Study, prayer lines during the week, youth group and small group opportunities, and ongoing ministries such as the ABC Soup Kitchen, organized in 2006 as a food ministry. Its Family Life Center opened in 2007, and the church also hosts the annual Taste of Antioch event.
