Bevills Chapel Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Hazel Green with a traditional worship style and deep roots in the community. The church began holding services in a one-room schoolhouse in 1918 and was organized as Bevill’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in 1921. Its early church land was donated by Mr. Bill Stewart, with logs donated by Mr. Fletcher Jones, Mr. Lee Bevill, Mr. Robert Hill, and others. Bro. Brown served as the first pastor, and the church says it has had its current pastor since 1987.
