About Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church
Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church is a historic congregation in Huntsville, organized in 1820 and recognized as the oldest African American congregation in Alabama. It is also one of the oldest African American congregations in the United States. Led by Senior Pastor Jaymes Robert Mooney, the church offers blended Sunday Experiences with a live band and an emphasis on being inclusive and welcoming. Student Ministries includes Tuesday Night Small Groups and Children’s Church, with programs for children, youth, and small groups.
