About St George's Episcopal Church
St. George’s Episcopal Church is a traditional Episcopal congregation in Cordova, located on the corner of 2nd and Lake Avenues. Its history reaches back to the first services of St. George’s Episcopal Mission, held in the Red Dragon Reading Room, which was built in 1908. The church building was completed in 1919. The rector is the Rev. Belle Mickelson. St. George’s is also connected with music in the wider community through Dancing with the Spirit, its village music program, and through the Cordova 4H Music Camp, which began with help from parents and community members.
