About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church is a traditional Presbyterian congregation in Wasilla. Its stated mission is to know God the Father through the love of His Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and to make Him known by words and deeds. The church has roots in the Wasilla area dating to before 1926, beginning as an “out station” served by Nenana missionaries who traveled by railroad. It has been officially connected with the Presbytery for 80 years. Current gatherings include Sunday worship, after-worship fellowship, a women’s Bible study, Al-Anon, and a youth group.
