About Willow United Methodist Church
Willow United Methodist Church, located at Mile 67.5 on the Parks Highway in rural Alaska, welcomes visitors to join Sunday worship at 11:00 a.m. in a warm, family-like setting of about 40-50 people. The congregation embraces a casual, traditional style of worship and invites guests to come just as they are, regardless of church background. Beyond worship, the church is deeply engaged in community outreach, operating the Willow Community Food Pantry that serves 150-165 families monthly and distributes over 100,000 pounds of food annually, along with support for those living off-grid through firewood ministry, water and shower access, and emergency assistance. As one of the few mainline Protestant churches serving a span of over 30 miles in this economically diverse rural area, Willow UMC functions as a mission outpost focused on responding to local poverty and serving all persons with Christ's love and care.
