About First United Methodist Church of Harrison
First United Methodist Church of Harrison is a Methodist congregation in Harrison with blended worship and Sunday study opportunities. The church states its purpose as making Christ-like disciples who know, love, and serve God. Its roots go back to Methodist Episcopal churches begun in the area around 1870, and its current West Bower Avenue campus was started in 1980 after the previous building was damaged beyond repair in 1979. The Family Life Center, completed in 2004, added a full-size gymnasium and more classroom space. Rev. Dr. Angie Gage has served as pastor since July 1, 2023, and the church offers children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups.
