About Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services
Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services is a faith-based organization rooted in Christ's love, dedicated to healing, preparing, and empowering children, youth, and families in need throughout Arkansas. Founded in 1923 as a day nursery in Monticello, the organization has grown to serve vulnerable young people ages 13–17 who are in state custody due to abuse, neglect, or involvement with the juvenile justice system. Operating from the Annie B. Wells Campus in Monticello, Vera Lloyd provides residential care, trauma-informed therapeutic support, individualized education, life-skills training, and mentorship to help residents build safer futures and transition successfully to adulthood. The organization also supports foster and adoptive families with practical training and resources. Guided by core values of care, respect, accountability, integrity, and inclusion, Vera Lloyd creates a stable, compassionate environment where young people can heal and develop the resilience and skills needed to thrive.
