About Altadena Community Church
Altadena Community Church, founded in 1940 and located in Altadena, California, is a United Church of Christ congregation with a deep commitment to peace, acceptance, and inclusive community. For over 80 years, the church has centered its ministry on the gospel message of love while welcoming people of all backgrounds, including the LGBTQ community since 1986. Beyond Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., the congregation actively serves neighbors through a food pantry operated with partner congregations in the Altadena Congregations Together Serving network. Under the leadership of Rev. Michael David Lewis, the church emphasizes spiritual growth, compassionate service, and beloved community. Currently holding services at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena while rebuilding after the loss of their building, ACC remains a small, committed, and caring congregation known for fine music and genuine hospitality.
