Founded in 1980 by Pastor Rick and Kay Warren with a vision to reach people skeptical of traditional church, the church has grown to include multiple Southern California campuses and international locations, baptizing over 50,000 people throughout its 43-year history. Under the current leadership of Pastor Andy Wood, who arrived in 2022, Saddleback continues its mission to urgently lead people toward Jesus and his purposes for their lives. The church emphasizes creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where people from all backgrounds can feel accepted and connected to community.
