About Temple of The People Inc
Temple of The People Inc is a historic spiritual community in Halcyon near Arroyo Grande. Founded in November 1898 in Syracuse, New York, the Temple moved to Halcyon in 1903, where the community is centered around the Blue Star Memorial Temple. Its teachings are rooted in Theosophy, and the Halcyon community has been designated a federal and state historical site. The Temple held its 127th annual Convention from August 1 to August 9, 2026.

Dress Code: Not specified — please contact the church directly. Service Format: Sunday Services are held at 10:30 a.m. both in person and online; the first Sunday features Feast of Fulfillment communion, the last Sunday offers Enter the Silence with readings and meditation, and other Sundays include speaker talks. Daily Healing Services are offered at noon for 15 minutes. Visitor Tips: All are welcome to attend services in person or online via videoconference; interested visitors should reach out using the church's contact form for online participation details. Weekly study classes are held Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 Pacific Time.
