About Calvary Community Church
Calvary Community Church is a non-denominational congregation in Brentwood, California that gathers weekly to exalt God through worship, biblical preaching, prayer, and community fellowship. The church strives to be a New Testament assembly of believers committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through gospel preaching and gospel living. Services emphasize expository teaching from Scripture, congregational singing, and prayer, with a focus on helping both longtime believers and first-time visitors encounter Jesus Christ and understand biblical answers to life's deepest questions. Beyond weekly Sunday gatherings, the church encourages discipleship through various ministries including adult fellowship groups, men's and women's ministries, children's programs, and community outreach initiatives. Visitors are warmly welcomed and assured they will be treated as guests without any expectation to participate beyond what they choose. Pastor Josh Kornoff extends a personal invitation to anyone seeking to explore Christian faith or deepen their understanding of Scripture.
