About Christ Presbyterian Church
Christ Presbyterian Church in Carlsbad began worshiping in 1979 at the La Costa Resort Theater and officially chartered in March 1980 with about 100 members and pastor George DeWeese. The congregation moved to its current campus in 1985, added a second Sunday morning service in 1994, and built the DeWeese Education Building in 1997. Worship is blended, with a contemporary service at 9:00 AM and a traditional service at 10:45 AM. The church offers children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups, and celebrates Communion on the first Sunday of each month, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Thursday.
