About Christian Science Reading Room
Christian Science Reading Room in Chico is a branch of the worldwide Christian Science movement, offering Sunday services and midweek testimony meetings centered on spiritual healing and the study of the Bible alongside Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. The congregation is composed entirely of lay members who rotate leadership responsibilities, creating a community-driven approach to worship and service. Sunday services run from 10 to 11 AM and include Sunday School for ages 3 to 20, with free childcare provided for younger children. Wednesday evening testimony meetings from 7:30 to 8:30 PM allow members and visitors to share experiences of healing and spiritual inspiration. The church also maintains a public Reading Room downtown at 188 E. 3rd Street, open Monday through Saturday, where people can access Christian Science materials and resources for personal study.
