About Our Lady Of Grace
Our Lady of Grace is a Catholic parish in Encino with a long local history, serving God’s people in the community since 1945. Founded by Irish Discalced Carmelites after World War II, the parish later became part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 1958. Its early leadership included Father Patrick Collins, OCD, the first pastor, and Msgr. Thomas McCarthy, the first diocesan pastor. Our Lady of Grace School opened in 1947, reflecting the parish’s longstanding connection to Catholic education. Worship is traditional, with Mass offered throughout the week and multiple Sunday Masses. English, Spanish, and ASL are part of the parish’s worship life.
