About First Congregational Church
First Congregational Church of Escondido, established in 1886, is the second oldest church in the city and welcomes all people into its faith community. The congregation describes itself as diverse and committed to furthering Christ's mission while embracing diversity and serving all with love and grace. The church is actively involved in community ministries and social justice causes throughout North County. As an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, FCCE celebrates the diversity of its members across age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other dimensions. Visitors are invited to experience worship and witness the church's deep engagement in both spiritual life and community service.
