About Methodist Church Pioneer Memorial
Pioneer Memorial United Methodist Church in Independence is part of the Eastern Sierra Methodist circuit, with roots tracing back to 1871 when Methodist circuit riders established churches along Owens Valley. The congregation embraces a mission of open minds, open hearts, and open doors, welcoming people at all stages of their spiritual journey. The church values community, individuality, and inclusivity, recognizing that diversity strengthens both the congregation and the wider community. Worship is offered in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and remote participation, followed by fellowship hour.
