About Pacific Southwest District Lcms
The Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod serves 300 congregations and 168 Lutheran schools across Southern California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada from its headquarters on the campus of Concordia University in Irvine. As one of 35 districts within the LCMS, the PSD is dedicated to resourcing congregations and schools to transform lives and advance the Great Commission. The district encompasses a diverse community of faith, with many congregations offering worship services in multiple languages to reach across cultural and linguistic boundaries. Through Word and Sacrament ministry and Christian education in Lutheran schools ranging from preschool through university level, the PSD seeks to bring the saving news of Jesus Christ to its mission field.
