About Christian Science Churches & Reading Rooms
First Church of Christ, Scientist in La Cañada Flintridge is a branch of The Mother Church in Boston, serving the local community through weekly Sunday services at 10 a.m. that include hymns, Bible readings, silent prayer, musical solos, and the weekly Lesson-Sermon drawn from Scripture and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. The church also offers a Sunday School for children and young people up to age 20, Wednesday evening testimony meetings at 8 p.m. where members share experiences of spiritual healing, and access to a Reading Room for study and reflection. Visitors are warmly welcomed to participate in any of the church's services and meetings, which are also available via telephone or computer for those unable to attend in person.

Service Format: Sunday services at 10 a.m. include hymns, Bible readings, silent prayer, a musical solo, and the reading of the weekly Lesson-Sermon. Wednesday testimony meetings at 8 p.m. feature readings from the Bible and Science and Health followed by congregational testimonies about spiritual healing. Visitor Tips: Child care is provided during Sunday services and Wednesday meetings. Services and meetings are available via telephone or Skype for those unable to attend in person. The Reading Room is open Wednesday 4–8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m.–12 p.m., and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
