About First Church Of Christ Scientist
First Church of Christ Scientist in Laguna Beach welcomes visitors to join their Sunday services held from 10 to 11 a.m. at 635 High Drive, offering a time for reflection, spiritual regeneration, and healing. The church emphasizes simplicity in worship, featuring hymns, prayer, scriptural readings, and a warm sense of fellowship that echoes the earliest Christian gatherings where love and healing were central. Services are led by two lay readers who conduct worship by reading passages from the Bible alongside related passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which serves as the ordained Pastor of the Christian Science denomination. The church also offers Sunday School for students up to age 20 and Wednesday testimony meetings at 7:30 p.m., where members and visitors share healings and spiritual insights. Child care is available for infants and young children during both services. Those attending for the first time will find familiar elements of Christian worship presented in a welcoming environment.
