About Grace United Methodist Church
Grace United Methodist Church in Long Beach is a progressive Methodist congregation and community space that is explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive. Grace adopted a Reconciling Statement on July 7, 2018. Its ministry has deep roots in the city: the church held its first service on November 1, 1903, purchased its current corner site in 1904, and became Grace United Methodist Church after the 1968 union of the Methodist Episcopal denomination with the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Worship life includes English, Cambodian, and Samoan services, and the sanctuary has a 52-rank Schantz pipe organ installed in 1968.
