Praise Sanctuary Church is a contemporary congregation in Los Angeles with roots dating back to February 1989, when it began under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Joseph A. Peay. Its first worship home was the auditorium of Horace Mann Jr. High School, and the church moved into its current South Vermont Avenue facility on July 15, 2007. The church describes its mission as “Food, Education, Medicine,” reflecting a focus on practical care for the surrounding community. Pastor Peay and Sharon Peay have sought to reach neighbors through various ministries.
