Montebello Plymouth Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ congregation located in Montebello, California, traces its roots to 1913 when the Whittier Plymouth Congregational Church began a mission outreach to the growing Japanese immigrant community. What started as a Sunday school project grew into a thriving congregation through the dedication of Issei members and continued to mature under Nisei leadership. Celebrating over a century of faithful service, the church embraces a rich legacy of diversity and remains committed to a ministry of peace, justice, and loving community. The church welcomes all people regardless of background or stage in life's journey, inviting visitors to experience God's love through worship, learning, and fellowship as part of their welcoming family of Jesus Christ.
