About The Christian Community
The Christian Community in North Hollywood is an independent Christian community centered on seven sacraments in a renewed form, welcoming all people regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation. Since its inception in 1922, the community has combined sacramental integrity with freedom of belief, offering an environment for free inquiry in harmony with deep devotion. The primary service, called The Consecration of the Human Being, is a renewal of early Christian worship structured around four steps: the Gospel reading, the offering of thinking and feeling, the transubstantiation of bread and wine, and communion. The community emphasizes that Christ provides healing forces through these sacraments to those who seek, recognize, and follow Him. A special Sunday service for children ages 6-13 is also offered, with parents welcome to attend. The Christian Community invites all seekers of authentic sacramental Christianity to experience their contemplative, priest-led worship.
