About Temple Or Rishon
Temple Or Rishon is a Reform Jewish congregation serving the eastern Sacramento valley for over 40 years. Established in 1983 as Sunrise Jewish Congregation, the temple relocated to its current site in Orangevale in 2000 and expanded with dedicated Hebrew school facilities in 2004. The community welcomes a diverse membership of more than 250 families, from newly-weds to elders, and emphasizes spiritual enrichment through Torah study, prayer, learning, and fellowship. The congregation maintains one of the area's largest religious schools and offers programming for youth, adults, and families throughout the year.
