About United Church Of Christ
United Church of Christ Petaluma is a progressive spiritual community dedicated to healing, inspiring, and empowering people through the Way of Jesus. As an Open & Affirming, Pluralist congregation, they welcome people of all faith backgrounds and spiritual identities without requiring adherence to specific beliefs. The church structures its community life around six Loving Actions—Respect, Responsibility, Promise-Keeping, Knowing & Being Known, Care, and Trust—drawing from first-century teachings informed by modern philosophy, science, and psychology. They explicitly affirm and welcome every person as they are, including LGBTQ individuals and people of all races. The congregation aspires to be a House of Permission and Temple of Equity engaged in social justice and the greater good. Visitors are invited to participate fully in community life regardless of their current beliefs or spiritual background.
