About Calvary Lutheran Church
Calvary Lutheran Church in Rio Linda welcomes visitors with genuine warmth and radical inclusivity. Under the leadership of Pastor Kirsten Moore since 2014, the congregation gathers for Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. in person or online, with a mission centered on open arms, open hearts, and sharing God's grace. The church emphasizes that everyone belongs here—regardless of background, belief, circumstances, or life stage—reflecting a Lutheran commitment to salvation for all and Christ's inclusive love. Beyond worship, Calvary organizes community activities including the Harvest Festival and Animal Blessing, hosts Vacation Bible School for children, and maintains an active social life through their fellowship hall. The congregation seeks to be a place of rest, hope, and spiritual growth where visitors can experience authentic Christian community.
