About Immanuel Christian Reformed
Immanuel Christian Reformed Church is a mid-sized, multi-generational congregation located in Ripon, California, in the Central Valley near Sacramento and within driving distance of the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite National Park. Founded in 1946 by Dutch immigrants, the church remains rooted in Christian Reformed theology and practice. Immanuel gathers for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and evenings at 6:00 p.m., employing a historic Protestant liturgy interspersed with traditional and contemporary psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with expositional preaching through books of the Bible. The church offers numerous small groups and Bible studies throughout the week for adults of all ages, a nursery for young children, and optional Bible story time for children ages three through second grade.
