About St. Anthony
St. Anthony is a Catholic parish in Riverside’s Casablanca district, with roots dating to its founding in 1923. The original St. Anthony adobe church was a local landmark before it was razed in 1975 to make room for the present church, dedicated on February 29, 1976, by Bishop Leo T. Maher. The bells from the original church still hang in the new church’s bell tower, connecting the parish’s history with its current worship life. St. Anthony offers Mass in English and Spanish and has a youth group. It is also one of ten Franciscan parishes in the Diocese of San Bernardino designated as pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi.
