What to Expect as a First-Time Visitor to Golden Gate Christian Church

Dress Code: At Golden Gate Christian Church, the dress code is casual and comfortable. You'll see a range of attire, from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts. The focus is on worshiping together, not outward appearances. Come as you are and feel free to dress in a way that helps you engage in the service.

Service Format: Golden Gate Christian Church offers three Sunday services - an English service at 9:15am, a Cantonese service at 9:15am, and a Mandarin service at 11:00am. Each service lasts around 60-75 minutes and follows a similar format:

- Worship through music - Prayer - Scripture reading - Sermon - Communion (served on the first Sunday of each month)

The services are interactive, with opportunities for the congregation to respond through singing, prayer, and discussion. Bibles are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own.

Tips for Visitors: - Arrive a few minutes early to find parking and get settled. Greeters will be happy to help guide you. - Pick up a welcome packet at the information desk to learn more about the church and its ministries. - Feel free to participate as much or as little as you'd like. No pressure to do anything you're not comfortable with. - Introduce yourself to the people around you - the congregation is very friendly and welcoming of newcomers. - After the service, stop by the café for complimentary coffee and tea, and take a moment to chat with the pastor or other members.
