Welcome to St. Patrick Church, San Francisco's historic landmark dating back to 1851! As a first-time visitor, here's what you can expect:

Dress Code St. Patrick Church has a fairly casual dress code. Most parishioners wear business casual or dressed-up casual attire, but you'll see everything from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts. The focus is on reverence, not fashion, so come as you are and focus on worshipping.

Service Format Mass at St. Patrick's follows the typical Catholic service format, including opening hymns, Scripture readings, the homily (sermon), the Eucharist (communion), and closing hymns. You're welcome to participate as much or as little as you're comfortable. Worship aids are provided to help guide you through the service.

The services are led by the priest, with altar servers, lectors, and Eucharistic ministers assisting. The music is accompanied by an organ and/or choir, with plenty of congregational singing. Services are in English, though some prayers may be in Latin.

Tips for Visitors - Arrive 5-10 minutes early to find a seat and get oriented.
