What to Expect as a First-Time Visitor to Calvary Chapel San Jose

Dress Code: At Calvary Chapel San Jose, we have a casual and welcoming atmosphere. You'll see people dressed in anything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual attire. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable.

Service Format: Our Sunday services start at 9 AM and 11 AM. The services typically last around 1-1.5 hours and include the following elements:

- Worship - We have a live worship band leading us in contemporary Christian songs. Feel free to sing along or simply listen. - Teaching - Our pastor will deliver an in-depth Bible-based message, usually going verse-by-verse through a book of the Bible. - Communion - On the first Sunday of each month, we share in communion by partaking of the bread and juice, remembering Jesus' sacrifice.

Tips for Visitors: - Arrive a little early to allow time for parking and finding a seat. - Stop by the Welcome Desk in the lobby to pick up a visitor packet and get your questions answered. - Relax and don't worry about doing anything differently than the rest of the congregation. We want you to feel at home. - Children are welcome in the main service, but we also have excellent age-appropriate programs for infants through high school students during the services. - After the service, feel free to stop by the Good News Booth to learn about getting connected through our various ministries and small groups.
