About Joint Venture Churches Of Almaden Inc.
The Congregational Church of Almaden Valley, United Church of Christ, is a progressive, welcoming non-denominational church serving the San Jose community since 1965. Rooted in Congregationalist traditions with deep UCC heritage tracing back to the Mayflower, CCAV emphasizes hospitality, community service, and the belief that God is still speaking today. The church gathers in worship centered on traditional hymns, scripture, prayer, and sermons based on the Revised Common Lectionary, with communion typically offered the first Sunday of each month and all invited to the Lord's table. Known for its strong sense of fellowship and commitment to justice, peace, and compassion, CCAV welcomes all into full participation in the church's life and ministry, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
