About Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo
Founded in 1952, the Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo is a welcoming congregation filled with caring, open-minded people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs. The community creates spirituality and connection beyond boundaries while working for more justice and love in their own lives and the world. Sunday morning services at 10:30 AM feature unique elements including chalice lighting, music, times for all ages, meditative moments, and spiritual inspiration, followed by a Connections Hour. The congregation offers Religious Exploration programs for children and youth, welcomes all diversities of age, race, religion, ethnicity, economic situation, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability, and invites visitors to explore their shared journey of faith.
