About Episcopal Church Of The Messiah
The Episcopal Church of the Messiah in Santa Ana is a historic and inclusive faith community built between 1888 and 1889, making it the oldest church building in continuous use in Orange County. Designed by renowned architect Ernest Coxhead, the church reflects distinctive architectural traditions with its careful use of materials and thoughtful decorative elements. The congregation describes itself as spiritually rooted, centered in love, and driven by justice, welcoming people from all backgrounds and stages of faith. The church is home to remarkable liturgical features including a sanctuary lamp from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, a 1903 Moeller Organ believed to be Orange County's oldest, and beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows. As an inclusive Anglican community, Messiah seeks to extend God's love beyond worship into the larger community through active ministries and service.
