St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, founded in 1953, is a welcoming, healing community in Santa Cruz that embraces all people regardless of background, orientation, identity, or circumstances. As a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), the church centers worship on God in Christ while nurturing people growing in faith and serving others with acceptance and love. The congregation offers diverse ministries including women's circles, Bible study, music programs featuring organ and contemporary instruments, and community outreach through Habitat for Humanity and international partnerships.
