About Christ Church : A United Methodist Congregation
Christ Church United Methodist is a Sanctuary Congregation in Santa Rosa that welcomes people of all backgrounds, races, abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Since 1997, the church has been a Reconciling (LGBTQAI+ Affirming) Congregation committed to anti-racism work and social justice. Worshippers gather on Sunday mornings at 10 am both in-person and via Zoom to engage with Christian scripture, music, and collective prayer, with communion celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Beyond worship, the congregation actively serves the community through ministries including Elisha's Pantry (which distributes food and essentials to over 900 households monthly), the Harvest for the Hungry Garden, and partnership with the North Bay Organizing Project. Christ Church intentionally creates space for spiritual growth and community action rooted in faith, inviting all people—regardless of religious background—to participate in their mission of seeking, growing, and serving together.
