Summerland Presbyterian Church, organized in 1901 as Bethany Presbyterian Church, has served the Summerland community for over a century from its current location at the corner of Lillie Avenue and Valencia Road. The church's motto, "Love is Spoken Here," reflects its core belief in a God of love and its commitment to following Jesus's example of love-in-action. Worship services are held in person each Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with livestream options available for those unable to attend. The sanctuary features beautiful handcrafted furnishings, including a carved oak communion table and pulpit created over eight years by former parishioner John Malcolm, as well as a historic church bell that traveled by ship around Cape Horn. The church welcomes all who seek to grow spiritually and learn to live and love more like Jesus, and the fellowship hall actively serves various community groups throughout the year.
