About South Bay Community Church Office
South Bay Community Church in Torrance, California is a Christian congregation founded in September 1992 by Senior Pastor Gary Shiohama with a small team of 15 people. Beginning in rented spaces around the South Bay, the church eventually established its permanent home at 2549 West 190th Street. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Greg Mah, who was called to lead the congregation in July 2023 following Pastor Gary's retirement after 30 years of faithful service, SBCC continues its mission to help people find and follow Jesus Christ. The church emphasizes pursing the lost, discipling the found, and commissioning the discipled through Christ-honoring worship, biblical teaching, and community ministries for families of all ages.

Dress Code: Come as you are—the church welcomes visitors to dress however feels comfortable. Service Format: Services begin with a Christ-honoring, spirit-filled worship set followed by a biblical message relevant to spiritual growth and everyday life. Afterward, visitors are invited to enjoy snacks at the hospitality table, meet church members, and visit the Next Steps table for information and a small gift. Visitor Tips: Services are held Saturdays at 5 PM and Sundays at 8:30 AM, 10 AM, and 11:45 AM in person and online. Children's ministry (KidzKrew) is available at all services for nursery through 5th grade. Parking is available on the east side or front of the building; please avoid lots labeled for other businesses.
