About Lutheran Community Church
Lutheran Community Church in Watsonville, California, is a bilingual and multicultural congregation founded in 1880 by Danish immigrants and has served the community for 145 years. The church embraces all of God's people and celebrates the diversity of its community through Spanish and English worship services held every Sunday at 9:30 am. Beyond Sunday services, the congregation is deeply committed to community outreach and service, including hosting a weekly neighborhood parking lot sale, providing shelter through faith-based partnerships, supporting migrant assistance efforts, and collaborating with numerous community organizations on issues of housing, healthcare, and immigration. Led by Pastor Trudy Franzen, who joined in October 2024, the church offers Bible study on Wednesday afternoons and fellowship hours after worship. Visitors of all backgrounds and faiths are warmly welcomed to experience this healing and reconciling presence in the Pajaro Valley.
