About Agape Missionary Church
Agape Missionary Church is a traditional Missionary congregation in Aurora founded on December 12, 1992. Its beginnings were in the basement home of Pastor Norman Hurd and Sister Norman Hurd with 13 other saints, and the church later met in the Chambers Road Shopping Center before moving to Chester Street. The church describes itself as Bible-based, with a strong emphasis on Bible study, worship, and personal relationships. Its name reflects its founding basis of unconditional love, from the Greek word “agapeo.” Agape Missionary Church also notes its affiliation with The Living Gospel Church under Bishop D. L. Jones.
