About American Baptist Churches
American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountains is an association of churches formed from the missionary work of the American Baptist Home Mission Society in Colorado and Wyoming. Today it consists of over 80 churches dispersed throughout Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah, united by a common mission to proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ through word and deed. The organization is committed to supporting local churches, developing pastoral and congregational leaders, engaging in mission work locally and globally, and serving as Christ's witnesses for justice and wholeness. ABCRM celebrates racial, cultural, and theological diversity within its membership and maintains core beliefs centered on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believers' baptism, the Lord's Supper, and direct approach to God. The association provides coaching, training, resources, and programming to member congregations at various stages of their life cycle, from church planting to established legacy churches.
