About St Johns United Church-Christ
St. John’s United Church of Christ has served Greeley since 1916. The congregation was founded by Germans from Russia, and its early worship services were conducted strictly in German, including both the message and the hymns. Over time, the church moved from its earlier setting and built a new location in west Greeley. St. John’s has worshiped at its current location for more than 50 years, carrying forward a history shaped by faith, immigrant heritage, and long-standing ties to the Greeley community.
