About St Andrew's Church
St Andrew's Church is a historic Episcopal parish in New Preston Marble Dale. Founded in 1760 as a mission of the Church of England, it built its first church in New Preston in 1765. The present church in Marble Dale was completed in 1822 and is one of the earliest Gothic Revival structures in New England. In the 1850s, Nathaniel Wheaton directed the addition of the transept and chancel. After structural problems threatened demolition, the building was restored in 1994 and 1995.
