About Hare Krishna Temple
The Hare Krishna Temple in Alachua is the largest Hare Krishna community in North America, situated on a tranquil 127-acre rural property twenty minutes north of Gainesville, Florida. Visitors are warmly welcomed to experience the rich spiritual teachings of bhakti yoga and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The temple offers a serene setting with cow pastures, gardens, ponds, forested groves, a guest house, gift shop, and an Eco Teaching Farm. Daily worship programs run from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm, with a special Sunday program at 4:15 pm that includes a free vegetarian feast. The community emphasizes spiritual practice through chanting, meditation, and study of Vedic wisdom in a welcoming environment for all seekers.
