About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church is a traditional Presbyterian congregation in Chipley with deep local roots. The church was founded in February 1896 and formally organized that October with thirteen members. Its congregation began worshiping in the present-day sanctuary on July 31, 1938. The campus later added an Education Wing in 1958, and the building has continued to be cared for through projects including a new pitched roof in 1992 and a re-roofing project completed in 2016. Church programs include children’s ministry and small groups.
