About Salvation Army
The Salvation Army in Clearwater, Florida is part of an international evangelical Christian movement that has been transforming lives since 1865. Founded by William and Catherine Booth, the organization began by taking the gospel directly to the poor, homeless, and marginalized in London's East End and has since grown to serve in over 100 countries. The local Clearwater corps offers more than spiritual guidance, providing comprehensive community services including food assistance, shelter, financial help, disaster relief, youth programs, senior services, and support for veterans and those in crisis. Committed to serving all people without discrimination, The Salvation Army believes that everyone is equal in the eyes of God and designs its programs to meet the specific needs of the neighborhoods it serves. Visitors are welcomed as part of a faith community dedicated to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ while meeting human needs in His name.
