About Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox
Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Fort Myers, Florida has served the local community since 1990, when eleven families began gathering for monthly liturgies in a private residence. The congregation has grown significantly over the decades, relocating several times before purchasing its current church building in Estero in 2010. Under the spiritual leadership of Father Joachim Boutros, who was ordained in 2006, the parish maintains the ancient traditions of Coptic Orthodox Christianity while fostering fellowship among its diverse community. The church recently sustained damage from Hurricane Ian and continues to welcome visitors to experience the sacred liturgy and participate in the rich spiritual life of the Orthodox faith.
